The German euro-dance act Scooter will present the official song for the Ice Hockey World Championship 2010, which takes place from May 7-27 in Germany.

The band will present the song "Stuck On The Replay" live at the opening ceremony of the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship in the Veltlins arena in Gelsenkirchen. The song is from the album "Under The Radar Over The Top," which will be released in March by the Hamburg based Kontor records distributed by Edel.

Scooter will promote the World Championship during their tour in March and the song will feature on an advertising spot for the event.

Henner Ziefeld, spokesman in the organization committee for the championship, commented: "The hard and fast rhythm of Scooter fits perfectly to ice hockey."

Scooter has enjoyed international success since forming in 1993. In 2008 the album "Jumping all over The World" reached No. 1 in the U.K. album charts.

The band has won two ECHO awards and various other German awards.
